Gratitude Should Be Our Attitude

“Gratitude – The quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.”

Having gratitude changes everything in your life. It is something that people around you feel, but are not quite sure what it is. I have found that showing gratitude towards those I care about, has helped me to have more meaningful relationships. Gratitude is a magnet that helps me to keep positive relationships with family, friends and coworkers. The reciprocity of kindness is magical, you perform an act of gratitude towards someone and in turns that person is motivated to do something nice in return.

It has been scientifically proven that gratitude can have positive outcomes on different part of your life:

  • Opens the door to more positive relationships

  • Improves physical and psychological health

  • Enhances empathy and reduces aggression

  • Better sleeps

  • Improves self-esteem

  • Increase mental strength

We can all benefit from developing an attitude of gratitude in our life. Our focus should not be about what we don’t have, but on what we do have. I encourage you to celebrate every small and/or big moments in your life. If anything, this should be the first item on your New Year resolution list for 2019.
